The 2024 Affective Computing and Intelligent Interaction (ACII) Conference was held in Glasgow from 15th to 18th September 2024. ACII is the premier international forum for research on affective and multimodal human-machine interaction and systems. The theme for the conference was Human and beyond, e.g., animals, virtual agents, and robots. The key note speakers were Professor Virginia Dignum (Professor of Responsible Artificial Intelligence at Umeå University), Professor Catherine Hobaiter (Professor at the Centre for Social Learning & Cognitive Evolution at the University of St Andrews), and Professor Antonio Camurri (Professor of Computer Science, Bioengineering, Robotics and Systems Engineering at the University of Genoa).
